The KISS-102IL maintains the PCB stationary during the soldering process preventing components from toppling over causing “unset” inter-metallic fillets. The KISS-102IL is a fully automated selective soldering machine using the proven ‘traveling mini–solder wave”, featuring the “Super fast” robotic motion to maximize production. The KISS-102IL is used to flux and solder through hole components on SMT boards within close proximity of adjacent components. The KISS-102IL overcomes the limitations of operator dependent soldering with a truly flexible automated flux application and molten solder delivery system. The KISS-102IL couples high throughput with precise process controls. The programmable features provide the tools to set all process parameters, including immersion depths, pre-heat dwells, travel distances and speeds, solder temperature and wave height. Once set, the system will repeat precisely.

KISS Flux & Preheat Machines

The Selective Soldering process can be divided into three basic steps (fluxing, preheat, soldering). When all three steps are performed in one machine the total of the three steps determines the production rate, usually the fluxing and preheat time is approximately 50% of the production rate. By separating the flux and preheat operations from the downstream soldering machine the production rate can be doubled. The KFPHIL fluxer/preheater and the matching KISS in-line selective soldering machine provides this capability.

The KFPHIL in-line fluxer/preheat unit designed for our KISS-102IL, KISS-103IL and KISS-103ILDP models is an intelligent dual purpose system that significantly reduces process times by concurrently applying flux to the selected areas to be soldered then preheating the board in preparation for soldering. As the next board enters the KFPHIL, the previous board will be sent downstream to the KISS selective soldering machine.

N² Generators

ACE Production Technologies has partnered with Parker to produce the KNG Family of Nitrogen Generators to complement the KISS Selective Soldering systems. These generators are tailored to ACE’s specifications to provide adjustable purity and flow specific to your process. The generators work on the principle of compressed air passing through a series of molecular sieves. The nitrogen molecules are harvested while the O² and other gasses pass through. This process is completely automated requiring only compressed air.

The generators are turnkey requiring only 115VAC and compressed shop air. The controls are all solid state with a color touch screen interface. A digital oxygen meter (included) displays the PPM of oxygen so you can be assured of ab-solute purity.

The KNG generators are available in varying sizes to match the demands of single and multiple KISS machines. They provide continuous high quality nitrogen that is less expensive than cylinder service.
